Labyrinth

"Labyrinth" is a stage adaptation of Daniel Keyes' novel "Flowers for Algernon" — the story of Charlie Gordon, an intellectually disabled young man who volunteers for an experimental surgery meant to boost intelligence, following its successful trial on a mouse named Algernon. Through his diary entries, the production follows the dramatic change in his life — a flood of new knowledge and an unexpected storm of emotions: fear, shame, pride, ambition. It is a perceptive, thought-provoking story about genius and loneliness that confronts serious philosophical questions head-on. Directed by Hristo Botev Stanchev, with Svezhen Mladenov as Charlie Gordon, a role for which he was nominated for the Askeer awards.
