The Elevator

"The Elevator" tells the story of two strangers forced to spend an entire night together in a broken-down elevator stuck between floors. Whether it's chance or fate that brings them together, a situation with no way out becomes the only way for two people who want to escape but cannot. The play raises questions about the price of freedom, the fear of truth, and whether we can break free from the prejudices and rules that define us, confronting both the characters and the audience with a choice between the safety of the familiar and the risk of the unknown. "The Elevator" offers no easy answers — the question that remains is not whether the characters will get out, but who they will be when they do. The cast features Mirela Krasteva and Todor Kotsev, in a play by Georgi Markov.
