Expansionism

The exhibition "Expansionism" presents works by Italian abstract artist Albino Pitti, co-founder of the art movement of the same name, founded in late 1987. The movement champions "the beauty of human freedom" and a rejection of artistic constraints. Pitti works with paint-soaked rollers, applying rapid, forceful gestures to the canvas in one uninterrupted motion without retouching — a technique meant to make the canvas "explode" with energy and reveal the artist's soul through the speed and intensity of the brushwork. His abstractions symbolize "the eternal rebirth of the material world" and a connection to higher spiritual dimensions, exploring the vibrations of life in the modern era.
