The musical "Hello! How Are You, My Friend?" is based on an idea by Edelina Kaneva and a libretto by Yuri Dachev, with music after Stefan Diomov's songs, orchestrated by Georgi Miltiadov, who is also the music director; the conductor of the production is Maestro Lyudmil Gorchev, the director is Kamen Vodenicharov, set and costume design by Nikolina Kostova-Bogdanova, choreography by Yoanna Stoyanova. One of the most recognisable Bulgarian songs across generations, "Zdravey, kak si, priyatelyu" ("Hello, how are you, my friend"), gives the show its title — a long-awaited, moving reunion of friends, which for some of the characters turns into love. On what seems an uneventful summer evening, the characters — the Exemplary One, the Self-Assured One, the Impatient One, the Vain One, the Latecomer, the eternal rebel the Vagrant, two young lovers and a grown-up "little" daughter, Maria — reveal long-kept secrets and confessions. The touching lyrics of songs performed over the years by Toni Dimitrova, Plamen Stavrev, Tonika, Tonika SV, Domino and Famiyliya Tonika are woven into a personal story of friendship and love; the soloists, orchestra, choir and ballet of the National Music Theatre all take part in the story.
