A Murderous Comedy

"Killer Comedy," based on the play by Robin Hawdon and translated and directed by Ventsislav Asenov, is set at the Cannes Film Festival. Hours before the premiere of her latest film, the body of the last true screen diva, Grace Gervais, is found on the terrace of a luxury hotel, and the suspects form a colorful, even comic bunch — a flamboyant actor, a jealous manager, a curvaceous blonde, and a rookie thief — each with a version of events and ready to rewrite the truth to get their hands on the murdered star's diamonds. Only the hotel manager, Monsieur Bonifas, an unproven descendant of Hercule Poirot, manages to find the truth through the fog of deception and lies. The cast features Lili Shomova, Boyan Mladenov, Anatoli Lazarov, Georgi Nyagolov, Kostadinka Aratlakova/Nikol Otashliyska, and Yordan Rasin, who won the "Golden Kukerikon 2025" award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Monsieur Bonifas.
