Christmas Braid — Sofia Boys' Choir & Balkan Folk Dance Ensemble

"Christmas Braid" is a joint Christmas concert by the Sofia Boys' Choir and the Balkan Folk Dance Ensemble, both formations of the "Tsar Boris III - 1928" community center in Sofia. Founded in 1968, the choir is Bulgaria's first boys' choir and performs a repertoire spanning Church Slavonic music and Bulgarian folk arrangements from the 14th century to today. The Balkan ensemble, established in 1954, is a CIOFF-Bulgaria representative ensemble with decades of touring worldwide performing traditional Bulgarian dance. The concert brings together choral singing and folk dance in a festive holiday program.
