Little England

"Little England" is a stage adaptation of Ioanna Karystiani's novel, winner of Greece's National Literary Award in 1998, directed by Diana Dobreva from a dramatization by Alexander Sekulov. An epic family saga set in Greece between the two world wars, it follows two men bound to one island, two sisters sharing one secret, and the fierce courage needed to keep death from parting you from the one you love. Critics have praised the production — performed by a cast of fourteen, including Alexandra Svilenova, Anna Papadopoulou, Vasil Draganov and Veselin Mezekliev — as mythic and emotionally powerful.
