About the venue
The Regional Historical Museum in Sofia is housed in the former Central Mineral Baths building, a neo-Byzantine cultural monument from the early 20th century that was converted into a museum in 2015. Its permanent exhibition, spread across eight halls, traces Sofia's history from the Neolithic era to the 1940s, focusing on the city's transformation into a modern European capital after Bulgaria's Liberation. The museum also holds an extensive collection of archaeological finds unearthed within Sofia.
How to get there
The museum is located at 1 Banski Square, right in the center of Sofia. The nearest metro station is "Serdika" (interchange of lines M1/M2 and M3, exits Serdika 1 and Serdika 2), with tram lines 4, 12, 18, 20 and 22 stopping nearby.
