About the venue

Arena Sofia (currently Arena 8888 Sofia) is Bulgaria's largest indoor multi-purpose venue, opened in 2011 at 1 Asen Yordanov Blvd, near Sofia Tech Park. The main hall seats 12,373, expandable to roughly 17,900 for concerts. It hosts major concerts, sporting events (volleyball, basketball, boxing, and more), exhibitions, and shows, and the complex also includes a training hall, fitness center, and restaurant.

How to get there

The arena is at 1 Asen Yordanov Blvd, in the '4th kilometer' area along Tsarigradsko Shose, about 900 m from the Sofia Tech Park parking structure. Buses 84, 184, and 305 and trolleybuses 4, 5, 8, and 11 stop right by the entrance (stop 'Sports Hall Arena Armeec', #2615/2616). For larger events extra shuttle lines are sometimes added from nearby metro stations — checking a route in advance via sofiatraffic.bg is recommended, since there is no metro station directly at the venue.
