"The Women's Market Choir"

DOT Sofia Art Collection presents "The Choir of the Women's Market," an audio-visual installation by artists Boris Missirkov and Georgi Bogdanov, shown as part of the KvARTal Festival. Fifty screens show vendors, neighbours and passers-by from Sofia's historic Women's Market speaking straight to camera, and their everyday conversations are woven into a musical composition that grows out of chaotic, many-languaged noise into one shared melody — a kind of anthem for the market and the old Vazrazhdane district around it.
