We Are a Lonely Force

The film links two distant yet deeply intertwined territories -- the Atacama Desert in Chile and the Jadar Valley in Serbia, both threatened by lithium-mining projects from Rio Tinto. At its centre are Leila, an Aymara journalist, and Boyana, a Serbian actress fighting to protect her mother's home village; through protests and tense public moments, we witness the personal cost of environmental resistance.
