A solo performance by Martina Peneva with live music, based on Billy Collins's play "Peak Stuff" (2024). Directed by Nadezhda Pancheva. Alice is fifteen, a top student in maths, English and history. Bill is thirty-five, a marketing assistant into fitness, restaurants, vintage and mojitos. Charlie is twenty-five, unemployed with a psychology degree, living with four strangers, in love with animation and 70s disco. What connects the three is social isolation and the absence of genuine human connection. In a world where consumerism has peaked, status is defined by the things you own, friendship is measured in likes and the future is terrifying — and with final, at once unsettling and surreal gestures they try to give their lives meaning. The play is dynamic, witty, ironic and merciless in its analysis of consumer culture; as the author intended, it is performed by a single actor and a drummer.
