Embargo

An absurdist tragicomedy based on a work by José Saramago: Nuno invents a revolutionary machine with which he hopes to conquer the shoe market and change his life, but runs into trouble trying to sell it, and during an oil crisis ends up trapped inside his own car. The film won Best Fantasy Film at the Fantasporto festival (2010) and Best Adapted Screenplay at Coimbra's Caminhos do Cinema Português (2010).
