(Un)Bound

"(Un)Bound" is an anti-romantic comedy in which all the characters are smarter than average, yet all are forced to marry. According to the director, it is not a situational comedy but a "play as an equation," tracing how five people cannot get married despite social pressure, examining the psychology of "old bachelors" and "old maids" — people psychologically attached to their pasts and comfortable solitude, resisting society's expectations. Beneath the comedy lies a tragedy — the protagonist's impossible wish to return to his past while facing an absurd romantic equation with several incompatible partners.
