Theatre

"Theatre," based on Somerset Maugham's novel, is a comedy directed by Boyka Velkova. It follows Julia Lambert, a celebrated London stage actress who always performs a role, whether on stage or off, raising the question of whether an authentic self exists beneath the mask. With the unexpected twists, wit and irony typical of Maugham, the production reveals theatre's glamorous surface alongside its backstage rivalry, intrigue and vanity.
