The Big Hat

A production of the State Puppet Theatre – Stara Zagora, based on a Japanese folk tale (dramatization and direction: Elitsa Mateva). The story of a young girl whose face is hidden by the magic of a big, odd hat. Hime faces an abyss of despair: will she overcome society's prejudices and her own fears to be herself again, to be free? A magical performance for all young and grown-up spectators who believe that everyone is responsible for their own happiness. Duration 45 min., for ages 5+. Part of the Panair na Kuklite 2026 festival programme.
