Diary of a Chambermaid

Radu Jude's film based on Octave Mirbeau's novel of the same name. A young Romanian woman who has migrated to France works as a housekeeper for a wealthy family in Bordeaux. In the evenings she joins an amateur theatre troupe, rehearsing the role of a maid in a stage adaptation of "The Diary of a Chambermaid".
