God of Carnage

A comedy by Yasmina Reza, directed by Anton Ugrinov. Two couples meet to discuss a conflict between their eleven-year-old sons, after one boy — branded a "snitch" — knocks out two of the other's teeth with a stick. Helped along by a bottle of whisky offered by the Reys, the parents' polite restraint gradually crumbles and the adults increasingly come to resemble their children — reckless, volatile, aggressive — until the veneer of respectability gives way to reveal the god of carnage beneath. The production received several ASKEER 2017 nominations.
